Gaza – together – Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of Hamas, confirmed the movement’s participation in the meeting of the general secretaries of the Palestinian factions in Ramallah, indicating that the meeting would include discussing the arrangement of the Palestine Liberation Organization.
He pointed to the initiative of Hamas to contact the Palestinian presidency and Fatah in order to end the division and restore unity, leading to an agreement on a comprehensive national strategy to confront these dangers, and to rebuild and organize the PLO.
During a meeting with a number of Turkish journalists, he expressed the readiness of the movement to play the required role of it in building bridges between Arab and Islamic countries that reject normalization, and work to reduce tension in the region, in order to form a solid bloc that confronts Israeli attempts at normalization.
He stressed that the Emirati-Israeli normalization agreement carries three very big risks to the Palestinians, the first of which is its collapse in the framework of the deal of the century, second that it comes with the continuation of the annexation plan and the Judaization of Jerusalem, and thirdly, that it comes in the context of building a regional alliance in the region in which “Israel” is a major part.
The agreement was considered a treacherous stab in the back of the Palestinian people, and went beyond the minimum that formed the Arab consensus.
The head of the movement stressed the Palestinian people’s rejection of all its factions and components of the agreement, warning of considering it a bridge for passage towards more normalization with the occupation.
He warned some countries against the trend towards normalization with the occupation, adding that “it is very unfortunate and it is painful for our Palestinian people that there are some Arab countries that are in line with the deal of the century aimed at liquidating the Palestine issue and removing the Palestinian people from the equation.”
He praised the position of the Turkish presidency expressing the general Turkish position in rejecting this agreement that transcends the Palestinian right and is at the expense of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, as well as the position of the states Iran, Kuwait and Pakistan, the forces and parties, the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nation, and the world’s free people rejecting normalization and the deal of the century.
The head of the movement stressed that this agreement did not stop the annexation plan, as was said, “as evidenced by Netanyahu’s announcement a few hours after the announcement of the agreement that he adheres to the annexation plan.”
Speaking about the Deal of the Century, he stated that it targeted three Palestinian pillars, namely Jerusalem, the Right of Return and the Land, indicating that it aims to liquidate the Palestinian issue that concerns Arabs, Muslims and all the free people of the world, not just the Palestinians.
Haniyeh reviewed the Hamas movement’s plan to confront the deal of the century and the annexation plan, explaining that it is moving in several circles, the first is the Palestinian national constituency, the second is the regional circle and increased focus on relations with the Arab and Islamic surroundings, and the third is comprehensive resistance, on top of which is the military resistance, and the fourth is the circle of the Arab and Islamic nations and the international community. .
The head of the movement appealed to the authentic Turkish people, and the peoples of the nation, to stand by our people in Jerusalem in light of the harsh battle that is taking place there over history, geography and religious rights, and to provide them with everything necessary to thwart Israeli plans and preserve the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
He also made his call to stand by the besieged Gaza, especially in light of the current difficult conditions it is going through, stressing that Turkey as a people, presidency, parliament and government cannot skimp on Palestine with political, financial and economic support on Gaza and Jerusalem and the prisoners inside Israeli prisons, who number approximately 6,500. Of them, 550 were judged.
Regarding his recent meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Haniyeh said that it falls within the context of Turkey’s historical and stable relations with Palestine with all its factions, and within the framework of normal fraternal relations, during which they discussed many issues of common interest.
“We focused on the situation inside Palestine and developments, and reviewed the Turkish role, and what it can do in protecting Palestinian rights, and reviewing the reality of students and those coming,” he added
