Gaza – together – Major General Tawfiq Abu Naim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior in Gaza, expected the opening of the Rafah crossing on the Egyptian-Palestinian border in the southern Gaza Strip.
Major General Abu Naim said in a press conference: “I give good news to those who are stuck with the possibility of opening the Rafah crossing at the end of next week.”
He pointed out that the Rafah crossing file will be presented to the Egyptian security delegation in Gaza, and that the Interior Ministry knows the importance of the file for those stranded, including students, patients, and others who wish to return to Gaza.
Abu Naim expressed his hope that the visit of the Egyptian security delegation would yield positive results in the coming days, in terms of improving the current situation.
The Rafah crossing was opened in the middle of last month and a thousand five hundred Palestinians were able to return to Gaza, while about 1,200 Palestinians were able to travel
