The Fatah Movement, the Unions and Trade Unions Commission and the Youth Commission in the Eastern Province, today, Tuesday, organized a volunteer day to harvest olives in the Khuza’a area in the presence of Jamal Obeid, a member of the High Leadership Authority, the Workers’ Commissioner, Iyad Safi, a member of the Revolutionary Council, a member of the leadership committee, the Commissioner of Youth, and Abu Azzam Sha’at. And Jamal Obaid said: “This wonderful initiative aims primarily to reconsider the concept of volunteer work in the movement, to engage and interact with the various activities and sectors of our great people, and to strengthen joint work between the various commissions and frameworks, as this event drew a mosaic of a creative national coalition.” .
Ebeid stressed the importance of the unity of the internal Palestinian position in the face of the major challenges threatening our national project represented in the deal of the century and the Israeli annexation and normalization project and its dirty tools, praising the firm and steadfast position of the Palestinian leadership, with President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen at the forefront to drop this conspiracy and liquidate Its pockets and moving forward with my pace to end the division and achieve comprehensive national reconciliation.
Ebeid emphasized what was stated in a letter by Ahmed Helles Abu Maher, member of the Central Committee, Commissioner General of Mobilization and Organization, which deals with the various issues and files of the southern governorates, considering it an important organizational document that includes a roadmap that leads us to the practical improvement of the level of internal and external entitlements and challenges.
Obaid appreciated the wonderful initiative of the Eastern Province, which indicates the depth of belonging, creativity and distinction to this region, calling for the popularization of these initiatives because of their great impact.
Iyad Safi said: “The olive harvest season is to emphasize the connection with the Palestinian land, as it is considered a season of goodness and blessing, and one of the factors of steadfastness for the Palestinian people. The olive tree means steadfastness, adherence to the land and protection of memory from being cut off and forgotten.”
The participation of different generations, particularly the youth, in the harvest season indicates the link between the generations and the land, no matter how the occupation tries to break the will of our heroic people.
The volunteer day included a number of heritage paragraphs that express the authenticity of our people and its sacred connection to the land and sacred things.
