أبومرزوق: هنية يعد لجولة خارجية.. وتسلل إسرائيل لغزة استخباري

Dr. Musa Abu Marzuq, a member of the political bureau of Hamas, said that the return of the Palestinian Authority to its relations with the occupation thwarted the internal Palestinian reconciliation and national unity.
Abu Marzouq confirmed during a dialogue meeting organized by the International Organization for Supporting the Rights of the Palestinian People “Mobilization” entitled “International variables and their reflection on the Palestinian issue,” that no solution to the issue of elections in the reconciliation file had been reached because Fatah movement rejected all the options presented.
And he indicated that the national consensus called for reforming the PLO and going to simultaneous elections, not successive or successive elections, but Fatah movement insisted that they be consecutive and protested this in the Istanbul understandings.
He pointed out that in light of Fatah’s adherence to its position, the demand to pursue the national option was to hold the National Council elections, and Fatah also refused and insisted on legislative elections, then the presidential and then the National Council.
Abu Marzouq noted that the Fatah movement wanted to take everyone to the square of a political settlement with the Palestinian Authority, and this is what the national group rejected because this experiment is 26 years old, and that you cannot take us to an option like this.
He continued: We said, “Come to fix the situation first, as every patriot wants, and go to elections, and no solution has been reached on this issue.”
Abu Marzouq stressed that the strategy of his movement is national unity and reliance on our people and ourselves in light of the current circumstances of achieving unity and political partnership, ending the division and developing institutions.
Regarding the normalization file, Abu Marzouq considered the continuation of the wave of normalization as a prominent shift in the Arab-Israeli conflict, stressing that the Saudi and Emirati positions are in retreat towards the Palestinians and stopped their support for the Palestinian cause under pressure from America.
He stressed that the American administration is struggling in its vision to liquidate the Palestinian issue, noting that there are efforts to build alliances led by the occupation in the region.
Abu Marzouq explained that the Trump administration’s contacts and pressures are still continuing in the area of normalization in the region, coinciding with the attempts to liquidate the issue and target it directly.
He noted that the US administration is not among its priorities the Palestinian issue, and it will be preoccupied with its internal situation and restoring the alliances that Trump shattered and relations with Iran and Russia.
Abu Marzouq expressed his hope that Biden would return to the two-state solution and not retreat from Jerusalem, that there would be a change in the settlement issue and the return of aid to the Palestinians and UNRWA, and that he would relieve the pressure of Arab normalization with the occupation and ease the pressure on those who support the Palestinian cause.
