the committee in charge of managing the Prisoners and Executives Authority in the southern governorates congratulated today, Monday, the successful prisoners despite all the obstacles set by the prison administration to obstruct the educational process by preventing high school and enrollment in universities on the seventeenth of March 2009, in the wake of the “Shalit” law in violation of Article 28 of the Third Geneva Convention, which affirmed the encouragement of mental and educational activities for prisoners by the detaining power.

The committee stated that there are 22 prisoners from the Gaza Strip who passed the general secondary exams (literary branch) for this year 2020, including 17 prisoners in Nafha prison, two from Raymond prison, two from Eshel prison, and one from the Negev detention camp.

The committee called on the families of the successful prisoners to go to the Education Directorate in the Gaza Strip to receive their children’s testimony next Wednesday 18/11/2020, praising the role of the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority headed by Major General Qadri Abu Bakr, the Palestinian Ministry of Education, headed by Minister Marwan Awartani for their great efforts The success of the educational process in prisons,
