Three civilians were injured by the occupation’s rubber-coated metal bullets, and dozens of people suffocated with tear gas, today, Friday, during the suppression of the occupation, a peaceful march rejecting the establishment of a settlement outpost in the Ain Samia area in the village of Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah.
Eyewitnesses reported that dozens of citizens gathered in the center of the village and went to the lands of Ein Samia, but the occupation army prevented them from reaching the area, which led to the outbreak of clashes during which the occupation soldiers fired bullets, gas and sound bombs, and a young man was wounded with rubber-coated metal bullets in the foot, and dozens of cases Choking with tear gas.
In the same context, a member of the Municipal Council of Al-Mughayer Village, Marzouq Abu Naim, said that the occupation forces were stationed at the eastern entrance to the village and prevented citizens, activists and landowners from reaching the Ein Samia area, which is threatened by settlement, and to participate in the weekly march.
He added that clashes broke out at the eastern entrance, wounding two young men with rubber-coated metal bullets and dozens of people with tear gas.
Every week, the area witnesses the launch of a peaceful march towards the Ain Samia area in Kafr Malik to protest the theft of land and water, and the establishment of a new settlement outpost there.
