the security services of the Ministry of the Interior in Gaza began to deploy in the streets of the Strip today, Friday, to implement the strict closure order, which will continue until Sunday morning.
Brigadier General Ali Al-Nadi, Director of Police Operations and Communications, said that police directors in the governorates are following up on the implementation of the curfew decision, starting from 6:30 pm Thursday until 7:00 am Sunday, in cooperation with all relevant authorities in the ministries and institutions concerned.
He stressed that the closure will be comprehensive and tight, and only police and security vehicles, health, municipalities, cleaning workers, the electricity company, and pharmacies will be allowed to move within a specified range.
He said that the provinces were separated from each other and divided into residential squares to facilitate control and control.
He indicated that fishermen would be allowed to enter the sea on Saturday evening according to certain arrangements. In order for the catch to be available for circulation in the market on Sunday morning, the same with regard to vegetable merchants will be allowed to move in the late hours of Saturday evening.
He added, “Any citizen who violates the closure and the curfew will not be tolerated. He will be arrested and legal measures will be taken against him.”
He expressed his hope that the citizens will fully abide by the decision to close and the curfew. This is in the interest of their safety and the safety of society, and so that we can reduce the spread of the virus.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health also announced a set of procedures related to the work of health institutions during the state of closure, noting that work has been stopped in all centers and institutions of the private and public health sector, and the emergency system is in place in private and private hospitals, and only emergency surgeries, birth operations, and emergency caesarean sections are allowed. And it is closed without that, provided that suspected cases of “Covid 19” virus are transferred to government hospitals.
The Ministry of Health announced that private pharmacies would be allowed to operate during the announced closure period.
