
Head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, met with a number of ambassadors in the Qatari capital, Doha, today, Sunday, in the presence of a number of members of the political bureau: Dr. Musa Abu Marzouq, Izzat al-Rishq, Husam Badran and Maher Obaid.
The meeting was attended by the ambassadors: Nur Muhammad Khulov, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Russia, and Dr. Mustafa Kokso, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Hamid Reza Dehghani, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Faisal Musa, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa. The ambassadors were accompanied by a number of advisors and assistants.
The leader of the movement placed ambassadors on the developments of the Palestinian scene, the parliamentary and presidential elections and the National Council to be held during the next few months, in addition to the challenges and risks facing this process, and it is hoped that the countries will make this happen to ensure the success of the elections in their three phases.
The head of the movement also touched on the grave dangers threatening the Palestinian cause, stressing that Hamas’s position is internal unity, and continuing the resistance approach after the failure of the negotiation option has been proven.
The head of the movement also listened to the ambassadors’ interventions and responded to their questions, as the guests expressed their happiness with this meeting, and thanked them to Hamas for this hosting.
In conclusion, Haniyeh briefed the ambassadors on the start of the internal electoral process of Hamas to renew its institutions and all its Shura and Executive Councils, which reflect the movement’s vitality and effectiveness.
