غزة: اغلاق صالات الافراح والاسواق الشعبية ومنع حركة المركبات

The Crisis Management Cell at the Ministry of Interior in Gaza has taken a series of measures that will be implemented as of tomorrow, Friday (April 2, 2021) to limit the spread of the Coronavirus.

The spokesman for the Interior in Gaza, Iyad Al-Bazam, announced the closure of wedding halls completely and the closure of the weekly popular markets in all governorates.

He stressed during a press conference to return to preventing the movement of vehicles of all kinds in all governorates on Friday and Saturday.

He stressed the decision to prohibit the establishment of funeral homes and wedding parties in public streets, or inside homes, with the need to tighten the procedures for the daily night closure at nine o’clock in the evening, and to take strict measures against the violators.

He also announced raising the pace of field follow-up, tightening control over adherence to preventive measures in all service facilities and sectors, taking legal measures against violators, and closing violating facilities.

Al-Bazm called on citizens to take the utmost degree of prevention and safety at this stage, stressing: “A new assessment of the epidemiological situation next Tuesday, and if the infection curve continues to escalate, we will have to make a decision to close down.”

For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Dr. Ziad Thabet, announced the suspension of studies on Saturday, based on the Ministry of Interior’s decision to stop the movement of vehicles on Saturday in the Gaza Strip.
