الهيئة الدولية (حشد): تعبر عن استهجانها الشديد من تصريحات "شمالي" | فلسطين اليوم

The International Commission to Support the Rights of the Palestinian People (Hashd) has expressed its strong disapproval and denunciation of the intention of the so-called “Supreme Council for Planning and Building in the Civil Administration of the Occupying State” to approve the construction of 1,300 housing units for Palestinians in the West Bank during the next few days; This is in addition to its approval on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, to build 3,144 settlement units in the West Bank.

In a press statement, the commission considered that these new measures clearly reflect the state of Israeli disregard for international law and the resolutions of the United Nations and the UN Security Council, and constitute a flagrant violation of the Rome Statute establishing the International Criminal Court, stressing that the silence of the international community and its institutions on the crimes of the occupation constitutes a green light to commit More crimes against the Palestinians.

She stressed that all settlement activities, and the Israeli measures of annexation and looting of the occupied Palestinian territories, are considered a full-fledged war crime in accordance with the rules of international humanitarian law and the Rome Statute.

And it called on international organizations, especially the United Nations, the UN Security Council, and regional organizations, especially the League of Arab States and the Organization of the Islamic Conference, for the necessity of serious and effective pressure on the occupation authorities, to ensure their retraction from their illegal settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Palestinian leadership also called for the necessity of serious action at the national and international levels, including activating active diplomacy to confront settlement crimes.

She called on the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to expedite efforts to complete the opening of an independent, impartial and objective investigation into the crimes of the Israeli war occupation, foremost of which is the crime of settlement, confiscation and Judaization, as the most effective way towards activating accountability and international justice, and reducing the scope of impunity.
